Kelly has spent more than 20 years leading outdoor businesses and building consumer brands into leading market positions. He comes to Velocity Outdoor from Hatteras Yachts where he served as President and CEO and led the resurgence of this iconic American luxury brand of motor yachts and sportfish yachts.

Prior to that he was President of Outdoor Products at Vista Outdoor, Inc. and President of the Marine Electronics Group of Johnson Outdoors, Inc. Over his career, Kelly has acquired, turned around, grown and led over 40 brands including Minn Kota trolling motors, Humminbird fishfinders, Scuba Pro diving equipment, Old Town canoes and kayaks, Bell and Giro helmets and protective gear, Bushnell optics, Blackhawk holsters and tactical equipment, Hoppes gun cleaning products and Primos game calls. Kelly is an avid outdoorsman who has a passion for hunting, fishing and motorcycling. He is also an active angel investor with a focus on early stage technology companies.
