Moti has been CEO of Lugano since co-founding the Company in 2004.

He began his career at age 23 managing diamond factories in Siberia, Russia for his family’s business, originally established in Antwerp, Belgium in 1965. There Moti received extensive gemological training and sharpened his skills as a highly specialized diamond cutter. Moti has been involved in every step of the diamond supply chain from sourcing, cutting, designing, wholesaling to retailing.

Outside of Lugano, Moti currently serves on the board of directors of the American Film Institute, Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, Anderson Ranch Arts Center and Lupus Foundation of America and is actively involved in the Society of Fellows for the Aspen Institute. Moti served four years in the Israeli Army as Captain in a combat unit and was educated as a gemologist and master diamond cutter.
